• On the drive up, a 3-4 foot piece of Chris and Marie’s car decided to wrap itself around their tire. Chris cuts it off like a total dad.
  • Cece’s first family vacation!
  • Danielle and Ben accidentally spill the beans on their baby’s name – Mark Medoff!
  • The house leaves a little to be desired. It has numerous amenities, but most of them don’t work. There turns out to be one fewer queen bed than advertised, leaving Ben and Danielle sleeping in separate twin beds while Alex crashes on the couch.
  • Marie and Cece have not reached the point of using a covering for breast feeding, so Marie spends much of the week with her breast exposed
  • NUMEROUS games played, including Viking Chess (a new addition from Laura), Codenames, Hot Seat, Slay the Spire, Banana Grams, 7 Wonders, Taboo, The Crew, Blank Slate, Splendor, Poker, Roulette, Fruit Ninja VR, and Captain Sonar (a new addition from Ben)
  • Gram spends hours watching Cece sleep on her lap
  • Several family members take out a raft through the Delaware Water Gap. They fight through vicious class 2 rapids, and the only incident involved Danielle heroically leaping into the raft off of a rock in the middle of the river after the men fail to pull her in.
  • Alex, Dad and Laura sit through an 80-minute rain delay to watch Andrew Painter pitch for the Iron Pigs. While the pitching is underwhelming, the Iron Pigs make up for it with a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth.
  • Mike, Mary, Alex, Ben, and Chris go disc golfing. Mike and Ben fight through some deadly bushes to retrieve Mike’s throw. Chris jogs through every hole and wins easily.
  • Family visit to Stroudsburg. Much to Mary’s surprise, it’s actually a nice town. Highlights include a bookstore with no cat (much to Laura’s annoyance), ice cream samplers, and a game store (see Captain Sonar above).
  • Everyone makes great dinners each night. Dinner on the final night at the Farmhouse in Stroudsburg (great find by Mike). Everyone (mostly) loved their meals. Marie comments that maybe she and Chris should vacation there again just to revisit the restaurant.
  • Family prays for the repose of Pam’s soul.
